Please do not announce single female guests room number infront of other male guests, it can cause potential danger. The number on the card envelope is enough. multiple male staff knocked on my door during my stay and when I opened the door they said it was a mistake and just left, it gives creepy vibes. Other than that stay was good, a lovely little hotel with great shower and bed.
During our recent trip, my partner and I spent two nights at the Argo Hotel in a double room. Overall, I had a positive impression of the hotel, primarily due to the following reasons: - The rooms were clean and well-maintained, the bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated - The hotel reception staff was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and helpful. - The location of the hotel was convenient and easily accessible. It was well-connected to public transport options like the tube, bus, and train, making it easy for us to explore the City. However, there are a few aspects that some travelers might find important, but they did not significantly impact our stay: - The absence of an elevator. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and while we had backpacks and managed fine, it could be challenging for individuals with heavier luggage to climb the narrow staircase. - The rooms were quite small, and the bed was narrow (140cm). - The rooms on the 3rd floor were situated in the attic and lacked air conditioning. In the event of a hot weather (low risk in London), these rooms could become uncomfortably warm. However, during our stay, the weather in London was around 20°C, and with the window open at night, we managed just fine. In conclusion, I believe the Argo Hotel is well-suited for couples looking for a short stay, and it is good value for money.
Good location. Very clean all the rooms.
